The reason I feel attracted to Tesla is probably the operating system. SDV is a really cool concept. To think that you can buy a car based on its operating system. Let's think about today's Smartphone. What is the biggest criterion people use when choosing a smartphone? Looking at the broadest categories, it would be the iPhone and Android. When people buy a phone, the OS becomes an important criterion. The same goes for buying a laptop. Whether it's a MacBook or a Windows laptop matters.

And just as much as performance, they cared more about how sturdy it was, how long it could be used, and whether it broke easily.
People talk about today's cars in terms of fuel efficiency, whether the car is sturdy, and whether it is free of minor breakdowns. But cars are gradually changing. I saw the recently released Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
It had a very large monitor, and as an option, the passenger seat could control the monitor too. Now cars were changing as well. Won't the day come when people buy cars based on their OS too? A world where you buy a car as if it were a software company.
